On Friday, September 18th, our team spent a couple hours cleaning up a two-mile stretch of Rutherford Road, just north of Pleasantburg Drive. This was our team’s first cleanup through South Carolina’s Adopt-A-Highway program, and it’s part of a two-year commitment to keep those two miles clean.

Adopt-A-Highway pairs volunteers and corporate sponsors with state and local transportation departments to clean up litter and keep public roadsides beautiful. This program has been around since 1987, and we’re glad to join the neighbors who care for these roads.

One of our core values at Armada Law Injury Attorneys is Be the Change, and that means putting our words into action. Much of our work starts on South Carolina’s roads, with people who were hurt while simply getting where they needed to go. Keeping those same roads safe and beautiful is one more way to care for the community we serve.

"I really appreciate the opportunity to participate in the highway cleanup. As someone who has grown up in Greenville, one thing I really appreciate about our city is how clean it is compared to other places I have visited. This opportunity made me realize the amount of time and dedication it takes to maintain Greenville green, so I am thankful for the city employees and other organizations that regularly contribute to cleanup efforts!" Our Community and Marketing Operations Manager, Kelley Lozada, helped organize this first cleanup along with other team members. Over the next two years, our team will keep coming back to those same two miles, four times a year.

Greenville is home for our team and for the clients we serve, and it means a lot to be able to close our laptops for a little while and focus on what matters. Let’s keep Greenville green!
