Kya Hazzard

As the leader of People and Culture at Armada Law Injury Attorneys, she puts that belief to work every day, making sure the firm has the right people in the right roles and that every one of them feels supported, valued, and set up to succeed.

Kya's work touches the team long before a client ever calls. She recruits for key roles, coaches managers, builds out training through Armada University, runs engagement surveys, and reads the labor law updates so nobody else has to. The thread running through all of it is simple: when the people at Armada are cared for and empowered to reach their potential, that care carries straight through to the families the firm serves.

With over a decade in Human Resources across multiple industries and her SHRM-CP certification, Kya has spent her career building strong teams and people-first workplaces. What she values most about Armada is that the care here is real and starts at the top, shaping a culture she describes as not a perk but the whole point.

Outside of work, Kya loves being outdoors, whether that is kayaking, walking her two Golden Retrievers, Aurora and Ariel, or exploring somewhere new. Before her career in HR, she spent more than a decade training exotic animals for film and television, working with everything from lions and tigers to snakes and tarantulas, an experience that taught her a great deal about patience, communication, and building trust.
